Use this timer like a stop-watch that shows minutes and seconds. The "Reset" button sets the time to zero, that is: 0:00. The "Stop" button pauses the time count. The "Start" button starts or re-starts the count from where it was.

The timing options are a selection of those used for different types of speeches given in Toastmasters activites. The most common length for a full speech is 5 to 7 minutes. In this case, a speaker would receive three warning lights - green at 5 minutes, yellow at 6 minutes and red at 7 minutes.
